Carries Garden is an original design inspired by the beautiful array of cornflowers that thrive in my friend's garden. The design is rendered in full embroidery on Devonshire Art Cloth - Camel using satin stitch, coral stitch and French knots and stem stitch. Select from either the natural lilac color of the flower and silk thread to mimic the silky feel of the petals, or muted gold flowers with deep sage colored leaves rendered in pearl cotton. The head of the cornflower in both of the color-ways is filled with alternating gold, sage, and deep brown French knots, with sage green leaves worked in satin stitch, and deep brown thread worked in the coral stitch to create the stems. Finished size is 131/2" x 48" and includes a decorative hand-drawn hemstitch across the short ends of the scarf.
