The Spiderwort Motif is an original design that incorporates the repetition of shapes, and adapting the natural geometric form of the flower (two fundamental design theories emphasized during the Arts & Crafts movement). A conventionalized design is hand embroidered in pearl cotton thread onPasadena Flaxusing the satin stitch, stem stitch, French knots, and includes areas of raised (padded) embroidery. Finished size is 21"x 21" and includes a 90% feather/10% down pillow form.
