Chenille needles, like sharps and embroidery needles, have a sharp point to penetrate close-weave fabrics, but have longer "eyes" (top of the needle where thread passes through) to allow several strands of thread or thicker threads to easily pass through. Available here in size 20 (large eye for thicker threads like DMC Size 3 pearl cottons), size 22 (med-sized eye for threads like DMC Size 5 pearl cottons, and pearl silk), and size 24 (small eye for pearl silk threads, and pearl cottons threads sizes 8 through 12).
